#4 really struck me as a student of science. i hope i will be able to defend my data next month considering the “unusual/weird” results i got.

i miss the “4224″ conversations with our fellow grad studes especially the topic on doing science in the philippines. looks like the ball is in our hands now.

Nice parallel Jim. We are actually going through the same line but at different directions. Your a priori belief in a personal God illuminates and even defines how you interpret your existence. In my case, I am drawn to to make sense of existence through interpreting any clue we can find to discover him or it or whatever the nature of ultimate reality is. Yours is obviously a more convenient one and is very tempting to me.

It is faith, because we believe. It may be hard for science, but consider it similar to believing in origin science. The evidence may not be whole yet, and we conclude as we go along. Same with a relationship with God… the evidence may not be revealed to us whole, but step by step, we are surely guided, if we believe.
I believe, and the more I go along, the more I believe because the more God starts to reveal Himself in my life. Maybe you should start to believe as well.

Hi Rhea, thanks for dropping a comment. Hindi ako VLIR scholar. I am an internatonal PhD scholar of Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB). Four years ang PhD program and I just started August of this year.

This is only true within the context of what Einstein understood to be the meaning of the word “religion” here. This never refers to traditional Judeo-Christian (which is what I meant by myth-based or revelation-based) religion. Albert Einstein’s view of religion can be described as pantheist or deist.

if this 400 metric tons of gold was deposited in Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas then, it is more than enough to prove that we have our own royal family who actually owned thePhilippine archipelago we need to be real, what we are talking is our history, a history of great people and for the benefit of our future leaders, the youth, it is about time to undress the truth, like Lapu -lapu, Rajah Solaiman and Rajah Baginda presented in our history book as chieftains and not a royal blood and relatives?
The life of our Royal Family is a very interesting topic for me, thank you for feeding us such surprising and educational information.

the oldest kampana (gold) in our town was donated by a Spanish friend to my great grandfather who was the first kapitan del baryo during that time, abot buong bayan ang tunog nito, it was lost i think 1980″s according to my father a certain priest took it and bring to another town and make pira-piraso there, wow ha such an incredible history, like what happened to the gold of Tallano clan, may be if God’s will, someday i will find the answer for myself to satisfy not only my curiosity but to bring out the truth, my father told me some info before he died
